½ cup (50 g) elbow macaroni
½ cup (120 mL) water
3 tablespoons milk
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
¼ cup (25 g) shredded cheddar cheese
fresh chive, to garnish, optional


  1. Mix the macaroni, water, and salt in a microwaveable mug.
  2. Microwave for 2-3 minutes, then stir.
  3. Add the milk, cheese, salt, and pepper, then stir.
  4. Microwave for another 30 seconds, stir, and garnish with a sprinkle of chives.
  5. Enjoy!

Microwave 4-minute BBQ Chicken Nachos

for 2 servings

1 cup (125 g) rotisserie chicken, shredded
3 tablespoons BBQ sauce
2 large handfuls tortilla chip
¼ cup (45 g) pico de gallo
1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup (35 g) green onion, thinly sliced
guacamole, to serve
sour cream, to serve


  1. Mix the chicken with the barbecue sauce, then spread evenly over a bed of tortilla chips.
  2. Spread the pico de gallo, cheese, and green onions evenly on top, then microwave for about 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  3. Dollop with some guacamole and sour cream, then serve.
  4. Enjoy!

Microwave 4-minute Chicken Quesadilla

for 1 serving

2 medium flour tortillas
½ cup (60 g) chicken strip, or shredded chicken, cooked
½ bell pepper, diced
1 tablespoon taco seasoning
¼ cup (25 g) shredded cheddar cheese


  1. Microwave the tortillas on a plate until slightly crispy. They will dry out a bit as they cool.
  2. Mix the chicken, peppers, and taco seasoning in a bowl until evenly combined, then cook for about 1-2 minutes until the peppers are soft.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly on one tortilla, cover evenly with the cheese, then top with the other tortilla.
  4. Cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute, slice, then serve.
  5. Enjoy!

5-Minute Microwave Cheesecake

for 1 cheesecake

1 tablespoon butter
2 sheets graham cracker
4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons sugar
3 drops vanilla extract
raspberry, to serve


  1. Melt the butter in a small microwaveable mug or dish. Grease a ramekin with the melted butter.
  2. Crush the graham crackers into fine crumbs, then mix it with the remaining butter. With a spoon, press the crust flat against the sides of the dish.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla, stirring until there are no lumps.
  4. Transfer the mixture on top of the cracker crust, then spread it evenly on top.
  5. Microwave for at least 4 minutes, 30-45 seconds at a time, at 50% power. Make sure the cheesecake does not bubble over the sides.
  6. Chill in the freezer for at least 30 minutes, until it is completely cool to the touch.
  7. With a knife, loosen the edges of the cheesecake then invert onto a plate, or eat straight from the dish.
  8. Top with a few raspberries.
  9. Enjoy!

Egg Roll Mozzarella Sticks

for 10 sticks

5 egg roll wrappers
10 sticks string cheese
oil, for frying
marinara sauce


  1. Slice the egg roll wrappers in half.
  2. Place a stick of string cheese on the edge of the egg roll wrapper, then fold the sides of the wrapper over the ends of the cheese.
  3. Wet the other edge of the wrapper with water, then roll it up tightly, pressing the edge to make sure it’s sealed.
  4. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and cheese.
  5. Heat oil in a pot.
  6. Fry the sticks until golden brown, then drain on a paper towel.
  7. Serve with marinara.
  8. Enjoy!

Microwave 3-minute Omelette In A Mug

for 1 serving

2 eggs
½ bell pepper, diced
2 slices ham, diced
¼ cup (10 g) fresh spinach
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste


  1. Combine all ingredients in a microwaveable mug.
  2. Cook for 2-3 minutes, making sure the egg doesn’t bubble over. Stir halfway through the cooking process.
  3. Enjoy!

Banana Chocolate In A Mug

for 1 serving

1 slice bread
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
banana, sliced
chocolate chip, to taste

whipped cream, to taste
chocolate syrup, to taste


  1. Slice bread into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, add egg, milk, and cocoa powder, and mix.
  3. In a microwave-safe mug, place half of the cubed bread and desired amount of bananas and chocolate chips.
  4. Place the rest of the bread and fix-ins and pour the egg mixture into the mug.
  5. Microwave for 1½ minutes or until egg is fully cooked.
  6. Top it off with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.
  7. Enjoy!
