Preparation Time: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 9 minutes Makes 2 servings 6 slices of white bread, cut into cubes 1½ tbsp oil 1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson) 4 curry leaves (kadi patta) ½ cup chopped onions 1½ tsp finely chopped green chillies ¼ cup chopped capsicum ¾ cup chopped tomatoes ½ tsp turmeric powder (haldi) A pinch of garam masala Salt to taste 1 tsp lemon juice For the garnish 1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania) 1. Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan and add the mustard seeds. 2. When the seeds crackle, add the curry leaves and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds. 3. Add the onions and green chillies and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes. 4. Add the capsicum and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes. 5. Add the tomatoes and turmeric powder and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes. 6. Add the bread cubes, salt and garam masala, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally. 7. Switch off the flame, add the lemon juice and mix well. 8. Serve hot garnished with coriander.
